Job Summary
An Inside Sales Rental Counter Representative plays a dual role, combining customer service with sales responsibilities in person and by phone. This position involves assisting customers at the rental counter, processing equipment or product rentals, and proactively engaging in inside sales activities to drive business
Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound sales and rental inquiries via phone, email
- Make outbound calls to prospective and existing customers
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate equipment solutions
- Provide detailed product information, including features, benefits, pricing and safety items.
- Prepare and process sales/rental orders accurately and efficiently
- Follow up on quotes and leads to convert them into sales.
- Coordinate with the operations and sales team to ensure timely delivery of equipment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Handle customer complaints and concerns with professionalism and escalate issues when necessary
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in CRM systems
- Provide regular sales updates to Branch Manager
- Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends
- Participate in training sessions to enhance product and sales knowledge.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Strong customer service skills and a customer-centric approach
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using CRM software, MS Office Suite and computer applications
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or GED; or equivalent industry work experience
- At least 2 years of yard experience (preferably in the equipment rental industry or at an equipment dealership)
- Proven experience in inside sales, preferably in the equipment industry
