Position Overview
Taylor Behavioral Health Services is seeking motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our growing clinic-based team. BHTs will work directly with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to support skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
This is a hands-on, rewarding role for individuals passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement individualized ABA treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA or Behavior Consultant
- Provide 1:1 support to children with ASD in a structured clinic setting
- Teach communication, social, and daily living skills through evidence-based interventions
- Utilize proactive strategies to prevent challenging behaviors
- Safely and effectively respond to and manage challenging behaviors when they occur
- Collect and record accurate data on client progress and behavior
- Assist with skill acquisition programs (e.g., manding, tacting, listener responding)
- Support transitions, routines, and structured activities throughout the day
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure consistent care
- Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging therapeutic environment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred)
- Experience working with children, preferably with ASD or behavioral needs
- Knowledge of ABA principles is preferred but not required (training provided)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and patient in high-demand situations
- Must be reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Preferred (but not required)
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Experience in clinic, school, or home-based ABA services
- Safety-Care or crisis management training

Physical Requirements
- Ability to actively engage with children (e.g., sitting on the floor, standing, walking)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs if needed
- Ability to respond quickly to ensure client safety
