American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN for a Level 4 NICU position requiring at least 2 years of NICU experience, NM or compact RN licensure, and proficiency with high-acuity neonatal care.

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)

12 weekend shifts required per contract

Floating required within scope to Peds ICU, Level II NICU, and Mother-Baby Unit (MBU)

Mixed acuity NICU unit caring for neonates ranging from less than 23 weeks gestational age through full-term newborns
-
Specialized procedures include IV vasopressors, High Frequency Ventilation, High Flow NC, Respiratory Distress Syndrome management, and ventilator management

Charting via Cerner
-
No on-call requirements

Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Active NM or Compact RN license (pending license accepted)

Current certifications: BLS and NRP

Minimum 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience required

Must be proficient with high-acuity neonatal care including ventilator management and IV vasopressors

COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with completed exemption form signed by a provider

Facility is a Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital with a dedicated children's hospital (554 staffed beds)

Time off requests exceeding 7 days require prior approval

Travelers who have worked 4 consecutive assignments or reached a one-year mark at this facility are required to take a 6-month break before returning

All contracts and extensions must be a minimum of 10 weeks
