Safety Manager

Reports To: National Director of Safety
Position Summary
Diversified Roofing is seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our company-wide safety program. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all OSHA and regulatory requirements while promoting a strong culture of safety across all job sites.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety, strong communication skills, and the ability to partner with field and office teams to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Program Management

Develop, implement, and maintain company safety policies and procedures

Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and local regulations

Continuously evaluate and improve safety programs
Field Operations Support

Conduct routine job site inspections and safety audits

Work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and field teams

Identify hazards and implement corrective actions
Training & Education

Lead safety training programs (OSHA, fall protection, PPE, equipment use)

Facilitate new hire safety onboarding

Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings
Incident Investigation & Reporting

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses

Prepare reports and recommend preventative actions

Track safety metrics and analyze trends
Compliance & Documentation

Maintain OSHA logs (300, 301, etc.) and training records
-
Ensure proper documentation for audits

Serve as the main contact for regulatory agencies
Risk & Claims Management

Support workers’ compensation and claims processes

Partner with HR and leadership on risk mitigation

Assist with return-to-work programs
Qualifications
Required
-
5+ years of safety experience in construction or roofing
-
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
-
Experience with inspections, audits, and investigations
Preferred
-
OSHA 30 or 500 certification
-
CHST, CSP, or similar certifications
-
Multi-site experience
-
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
