Evergreen Calibration is a premium ADAS calibration company in the automotive industry, operating across nine states with over 40 employees. We're a fast-moving, founder-led company that's been building operational excellence from the ground up, and we're growing our financial operations team.
If you're the kind of person who takes ownership and wants to build something rather than just maintain it — this is the role for you.
About the Role
As our Staff Accountant, you'll own the day-to-day financial operations across three business entities — accounts payable and receivable, month-end close, financial reporting, payroll coordination with our PEO partner, and compliance across nine states. You'll work directly with leadership and have full visibility into the financial picture of the business.
This is a high-ownership, low-bureaucracy role. There's no finance team above you yet — just you, leadership, and the opportunity to build the foundation that scales with the company.
What You'll Do
- Own the full month-end close across three entities — journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, financials
- Manage AP and AR — vendor payments, invoicing, collections, and cash application
- Coordinate payroll with our PEO partner
- Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports for ownership
- Support tax and compliance obligations across multiple states
- Build and improve accounting systems, processes, and controls as the business scales
- Support lender reporting, financial due diligence, and special projects as they arise
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–5 years of accounting experience — public, industry, or both
- Proficiency with accounting software — QuickBooks Online or similar ERP
- Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to own close independently
- Demonstrated ability to own month-end close independently
Preferred:
- Multi-entity accounting experience
- Multi-state payroll exposure — PEO experience a plus
- Experience in a startup or founder-led environment
- SaaS revenue recognition exposure
- Experience supporting lender reporting or financial due diligence
- CPA license or active candidacy preferred
