Tradition Hospital’s 8 th Floor Telemetry/Neurology Unit provides exceptional care and monitoring of patients with neurological needs. Telemetry caregivers may clean and shave a patient’s skin to place electrodes, replace electrodes daily, change batteries in a telemetry device, help someone when their monitor’s alarm sounds and explain telemetry to patients . By joining this team as a Clinical Technician, you will support your fellow caregivers and medical staff by providing patients with top-quality care. Under the supervision of an RN, you will utilize your technical and applicable skills to enhance the patient experience and create a welcoming, healing environment. A caregiver in this position works day s from 6:00 A M – 6:30 P M .
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an R N. Patient care may include vital signs, weight, assisting patients with personal care and activities of daily living, patient transfers/transport, pulse oximetry, point of c a re testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices and further technical skills of phlebotomy .
