Position Summary
The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall functionality, safety, and efficiency of a painting facility. This role ensures that all equipment, building systems, and infrastructure are operating effectively to support production while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
- Maintain and service paint booths, ventilation systems, air filtration units, and compressed air systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
- Monitor and maintain proper functioning of exhaust systems and ensure air quality standards are met.
- Assist in maintaining fire suppression systems and ensure all safety equipment is operational.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance when necessary.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility efficiency and safety.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience in building maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with painting facility equipment such as spray booths and curing ovens is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment
- Industrial painting facility environment.
- Exposure to chemicals, fumes, and machinery.
- Requires adherence to strict safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Experience:
- Maintenance: 5 years (Required)
- Valid driver’s license
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Night shift availability
- Weekend availability
- Overtime when necessary
