Duties
- Oversee our breakfast operation for our hotels guests
- Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations, ensuring all food items are fresh, appealing, and well-presented
- Assist with food preparation, including slicing, plating, and portioning according to safety and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen stations, and food handling equipment through regular cleaning and sanitizing procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including warming trays, coffee machines, toasters, and other small appliances
- Handle manual tasks such as weight handling of food items and replenishing supplies during service hours
- Process cash transactions accurately at the breakfast service point using POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Provide friendly in-person customer service by greeting guests, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating dietary needs or special requests
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred; experience in fine dining or restaurant environments is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling best practices
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing inventory levels
- Experience with POS systems for cash handling is desirable
- Familiarity with dietary accommodations and culinary standards within the food industry or hospitality sector is advantageous
