Maintenance Manager
Sunway Charters | Fleet & Maintenance | Full-time | Reports to Chief Transportation Officer
You are the backbone of the shop. Every bus that rolls out clean and on time starts with you - your crew, your parts, your process. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows diesel inside and out and takes pride in running a tight operation. You will be in the shop leading by example, making real-time decisions that keep our fleet moving and our customers on schedule.
What You Will Own
Daily shop leadership - Run the floor, assist mechanics directly, and build out each day's work assignment sheet so nothing slips through the cracks.
DVIR and scheduling oversight - Review prior-day driver inspection reports every morning and check Coach Manager scheduling for the next seven days to stay ahead of service demands.
Preventive maintenance - Monitor VMS for upcoming PMs and ensure scheduled work orders are closed out on time, every time.
Work order management - Open, track, and close both scheduled and unscheduled work orders; confirm all parts are applied before close-out.
Parts and procurement - Look up and order all parts from vendors, manage the parts room, and monitor fluid inventory (fuel, oil, antifreeze) to keep reorder levels tight.
Vendor coordination - Manage outside repair relationships and serve as the point of contact for all third-party vendors.
Fuel accountability - Input prior-day fuel data and verify tank readings daily.
