Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to join our dynamic facilities team. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Conduct detailed floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks including trash removal, window washing, and deep cleaning projects as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met
- Assist with light maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs or minor repairs to support overall facilities upkeep
- Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Document completed tasks and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care procedures, and industrial cleaning methods
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment including buffers and floor polishers effectively
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
