Duties
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ physical conditions, including mobility, strength, and functional abilities
- Develop tailored treatment plans utilizing manual handling techniques, physiotherapy modalities, and evidence-based practices
- Lead patient rehabilitation sessions focused on restoring mobility, managing disabilities, and improving daily functioning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to coordinate care plans and ensure seamless patient progress
- Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy exercises, injury prevention strategies, and rehabilitation regulations
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment approaches to optimize recovery outcomes
- Manage rehabilitation services operations, including documentation, compliance with regulations, and quality assurance
Qualifications
- Proven experience in rehabilitation medicine with a strong background in physiotherapy principles
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation regulations to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and basic life support is required
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities or visual impairments in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques necessary for patient handling and manual therapy procedures
- Prior experience managing or leading clinical teams within rehabilitation centers or similar healthcare settings is preferred
- Strong understanding of acute care environments and the unique needs of patients requiring intensive therapy services
