FIELD MANAGER

Since 2006, Matrix Energy Services, Inc. has been designing and installing energy efficiency improvement solutions in small and large commercial buildings and facilities. It performs these activities under its many contracts with utilities across the United States. These contracts generally run for three years but may continue for many years beyond that time. The company is currently seeking a top-tier, experienced field manager to join our ranks to oversee one or more of our projects.

Responsibilities and Duties:

to understand the full scope of the assigned project including the responsibilities and objectives for all stakeholders: clients, customers, project staff, marketing, purchasing and senior management
to assist the marketing team in the design, scheduling, and material specifications required for the project
to assist in the development of policies and procedures related to the project
to evaluate personnel, conduct performance reviews, and assist in hiring decisions
to plan, direct, assign and coordinate scheduling of teams of technicians for the project
to supervise all purchasing and delivery of project materials
to conduct onsite visits on a regular and frequent basis to ensure company and industry quality standards are met and the efficiency of work is maximized.
to provide training as needed to field supervisors, team leads, and technicians
to ensure safety policies and procedures are followed and are effective
to interface with customers onsite or elsewhere to ensure customer awareness of project progress
to ensure work is tracked properly to complete orders and obtain customer approval
to provide all relevant documentation on the entire project cycle. Provide progress information and reports at regular intervals to meet internal and external reporting deadlines
be responsible for project cost and time budgets, project profitability
to resolve all matters arising on projects
to keep senior management informed at all times of project progress and any problems or threats to project completion

Qualifications and Skills:
- demonstrated ability to successfully manage field projects in a timely and profitable manner

understanding of energy efficiency principles related to commercial buildings and facilities
ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and work well under pressure
advanced knowledge of lighting systems
knowledge of MS Project or similar management application preferred
advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and timekeeping applications
excellent planning and organizational skills and techniques
excellent analysis, negotiation and problem solving skills
excellent conflict resolution skills
excellent time management and prioritization skills
history of successful cost budget and efficient resource allocation
superior written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering or related field

Minimum 5 years of field management experience
Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
