Summary
As a Line/Prep Cook, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing ingredients and cooking meals to the highest standards. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will utilize your core skills in food preparation, cooking, and food handling to deliver exceptional dishes. Your experience in the culinary field, along with your knife skills and familiarity with restaurant environments, will be vital. Additionally, your knowledge of menu planning and dietary needs will enhance our offerings, making you a valuable asset in our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed in the kitchen.
- Assist in meal preparation and plating for service, maintaining high-quality presentation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking areas.
- Support menu planning and special dietary needs as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or kitchen environment
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of food handling and safety standards
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
- Experience in catering and food service operations
- Understanding of dietary needs and menu planning is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a team
