Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, and the ability to thrive in a high-energy atmosphere. As a Server, you will be responsible for delivering an outstanding dining experience to our guests while efficiently managing multiple tasks.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions and recommend items to enhance the guest experience through upselling techniques.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining proper presentation standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring all sanitation standards are met.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
- Assist with training new staff members as needed, sharing knowledge of restaurant operations and best practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, with fine dining experience being a plus.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable systems is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy shifts effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety regulations, and sanitation practices is essential.
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
