We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Escrow Officer to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing escrow documents, contracts, and closing statements with accuracy and attention to detail
- Coordinate communication between buyers, sellers, lenders, agents, and internal teams to ensure seamless transaction flow
- Support loan processing activities including verifying borrower information, seller information, ordering abstracting and entering contracts.
- Maintain thorough records of escrow transactions, ensuring adherence to Fair Housing regulations and mortgage servicing requirements
- Conduct basic math calculations for escrow account management and settlement figures using 10 key typing skills
- Assist Escrow Officer with document collection and preliminary closing steps
Qualifications
- Prior experience in real estate roles or within the financial services sector is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of real estate practices
- Knowledge of contracts, banking procedures, computers, scanner, phone systems and office environment
- Familiarity with escrow processes and loan processing steps
- Excellent math skills including basic calculations related to escrow accounts and settlement figures
- Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry and documentation management
- Ability to interpret complex contracts, financial documents accurately and meet strict deadlines
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards learning, able to work at an extremely high pace and multitask.
- Ability to be on time, be at work when scheduled and keep personal cell phone put up during working hours
- Must have 2-5 years of office experience and computer knowledge
