Contents Cleaning Technician

Position Summary
The Contents Cleaning Technician is responsible for the proper handling, cleaning, and restoration of customers’ personal property that has been damaged by fire, smoke, water, or mold. This role ensures that all contents are cleaned, inventoried, packed, and returned with care and professionalism while maintaining company standards and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Contents Handling & Cleaning
- Safely pack, transport, and unpack customers’ belongings.
- Clean and restore contents using industry-approved methods (hand cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning, ozone treatment, etc.).
- Identify and separate salvageable and non-salvageable items.
- Inventory & Documentation
- Create detailed inventories of packed items, including photos and condition notes.
- Maintain accurate tracking of items through cleaning, storage, and return.
- Customer Service
- Treat all contents with respect and care.
- Communicate professionally with customers when on-site.
- Worksite Preparation & Safety
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Teamwork
- Work closely with supervisors and teammates to complete projects on schedule.
- Report any concerns or damages immediately to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Experience in cleaning, restoration, or moving/packing is helpful but not required.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license required and reliable transportation preferred.
Work Environment
- Work is performed in homes, businesses, and warehouse settings.
- Exposure to smoke, mold, and cleaning solutions may occur (PPE provided).
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and moving of contents is required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
