The College of Humanities, Education and the Arts seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach Individual Instruction for Violin . This course provides an opportunity for students to participate in private lessons and practice a high level of repertoire on the violin. May be repeated for an unlimited number of credits.
Adjunct educators are hired on a contractual, part-time basis, for specified quarters throughout an academic year. Duties include developing syllabi and assignments, teaching classes and assessing student performance.
Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in Music, or
- Terminal degree in related field, or excellent instructional skills
- A personal commitment to Christian faith, enthusiasm about supporting SPU's mission , alignment with the University's Statement of Faith , and willingness to accept the lifestyle standards of the Christian community.
- A comfortability discussing the intersection of faith and music with students
Compensation:
The salary for adjunct faculty is $876/credit in the College of Humanities, Education and the Arts.
