The Role
As an Extraction Lab Technician, you'll work alongside our extraction team to turn cannabis plant material into high-quality extracts and concentrates using solvent-based methods. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role in a highly regulated lab environment — you'll follow strict SOPs, keep meticulous records, and help maintain a clean, safe production space. Full safety training and PPE are provided; what matters most is your ability to follow procedure precisely and take safety seriously every shift. This is a weekend-based schedule, working Thursday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
What You'll Do
Extraction & Production
- Extract, refine, and purify cannabinoids from plant material into concentrated form using solvents
- Prepare biomass for solvent-based extraction and post-processing
- Prepare and log samples for analytical testing
- Follow quality control SOPs precisely to ensure consistent, high-quality product
Safety & Equipment
- Perform daily safety inspections on extraction systems before use
- Flag unsafe conditions immediately to the Manufacturing Support team
- Perform routine equipment maintenance — troubleshooting, preventative upkeep, and data logging
- Clean and sanitize lab surfaces, glassware, and equipment, logging all cleaning activity daily
Documentation & Teamwork
- Maintain accurate physical and digital records, including safety data sheets for chemicals and products
- Communicate proactively with the management team on operational needs or procedural issues
- Support teammates and other departmental tasks as production demands
- Show up on time and ready for every shift, including scheduled breaks
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfort following strict, detailed procedures exactly as written — this role has no room for shortcuts
- Ability to read and interpret SOPs, department manuals, and safety documentation
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for most of a shift
- Strong attention to detail and reliable, consistent attendance
Nice to Have
- Mechanical aptitude or experience troubleshooting equipment
- Prior lab, manufacturing, or production environment experience
- Familiarity with solvent-based extraction or chemical handling
