CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist

Pay: $26-$32/hour
Position Overview
Employbridge is recruiting a CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist for a precision machining operation in the Mt. Clemens area. This position is ideal for an experienced machinist who can program at the machine, perform complete setups, make adjustments, and ensure parts meet quality standards.
The successful candidate will have strong CNC programming experience, the ability to read blueprints, perform offsets, troubleshoot machining issues, and support production in a job shop manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Program CNC machines at the control using G-code and M-code
- Program and edit programs using Fanuc and/or Mazatrol controls
- Perform complete machine setups
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Perform tool offsets and machine adjustments
- Change cutting tools and maintain tooling as needed
- Inspect parts and verify quality requirements are met
- Troubleshoot machining, programming, and setup issues
- Maintain production efficiency while meeting quality standards
- Support continuous improvement and shop productivity initiatives
Qualifications Required
- 10+ years of CNC programming and setup experience preferred
- Experience programming at the machine using Fanuc controls and/or Mazatrol
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Experience performing tool offsets and setup adjustments
- Ability to inspect and verify part quality
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment
Preferred
- Job shop machining experience
- Experience machining a wide variety of precision components
- Experience working with tight-tolerance parts
- CNC milling and/or turning experience
Compensation & Benefits
- $26-$32/hour based on experience
