Job Summary
Our beautiful Layton office is looking for an energetic hygienist to join our amazing team. We are looking for someone to work Mondays 7am-1pm and Tuesdays 1pm-7pm. Pay is combination of base pay and commission.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
- Take and record vital signs as part of the patient evaluation process.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed, utilizing knowledge of dental terminology.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and documentation.
- Ensure all equipment is sterilized and follows infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental assisting practices.
- Familiarity with infection control standards and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
- Experience with pediatric patients.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
