Duties
- Provide attentive care to children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs.
- Implement engaging activities that foster learning, creativity, and social skills aligned with early childhood education principles.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children by following health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Support behavioral management by guiding children through positive discipline techniques and conflict resolution.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices in accordance with best practices for childcare.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages exploration while adhering to all licensing regulations for daycare or childcare facilities.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments.
- Knowledge of childhood development stages and early childhood education methods.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies.
- Compassionate caregiving skills combined with patience, flexibility, and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members to create a supportive environment for children’s growth.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to infant care, toddler care, preschool activities, and daycare operations.
