Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs. This role involves developing individualized education plans (IEPs), implementing effective teaching strategies, and collaborating with families and support staff to enhance student learning outcomes. The Special Education Teacher will work closely with students who may have disabilities, including autism, developmental disabilities, and other learning challenges.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment.
- Design and adapt curriculum to meet the diverse learning styles of students.
- Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Facilitate communication between students and their peers, promoting social skills development.
- Engage in lesson planning that incorporates literacy education, math, and physical education activities.
- Support students in developing essential skills in areas such as childhood development, behavior management, and communication.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress towards IEP goals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $56,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
