About Vista Bella Residence Care
Vista Bella Residence Care is a new six resident residential care home in Lathrop preparing to open pending RCFE licensure.
We are building a dependable founding caregiving team for a small residential setting focused on attentive, respectful, and consistent care. Planned staffing includes two caregivers during day and evening shifts and one awake caregiver overnight.
Position Summary
The RCFE Caregiver provides hands on assistance, supervision, companionship, and personal care to older adults based on each resident’s individual needs and care plan.
Residents may need help with mobility, transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, meals, medication assistance, and repositioning. Some residents may be nonambulatory, and one resident may be bedridden.
We are looking for caregivers who are reliable, observant, respectful, and comfortable providing direct personal care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral care, and other daily living activities
- Support wheelchair users and nonambulatory residents with mobility, transfers, and repositioning
- Provide respectful incontinence care while protecting resident comfort, privacy, and dignity
- Assist with meals, hydration, meal preparation, and modified diets
- Assist residents with self administration of medications according to RCFE requirements
- Observe residents for changes in condition, behavior, appetite, mobility, skin integrity, or routine
- Report concerns promptly to the administrator or person in charge
- Complete required care notes, medication records, and shift documentation accurately
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, linen changes, and common area upkeep
- Provide companionship, conversation, activities, and emotional support
- Follow resident rights, confidentiality, infection control, emergency, and fire safety procedures
- Work cooperatively with caregivers, families, hospice providers, home health professionals, and visiting clinicians
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Able to communicate clearly with residents, families, and coworkers
- Able to read and complete care documentation accurately
- Able to pass a California Live Scan background clearance
- Current TB clearance before starting
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain or renew before starting
- Willingness to complete required RCFE caregiver training
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to remain awake and attentive throughout assigned overnight shifts
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Experience
- RCFE, assisted living, home care, hospice, CNA, HHA, or senior care experience
- Experience with nonambulatory or bedridden residents
- Experience with transfers, gait belts, wheelchairs, repositioning, or mechanical lifts
- Experience with toileting, incontinence care, bathing, and personal hygiene
- Experience assisting with medications
- Experience documenting and reporting changes in resident condition
CNA or HHA certification is preferred but not required.
Compensation
Starting pay is based on verified experience, credentials, shift availability, and ability to support residents with higher care needs.
- $20 to $22 per hour for caregivers with general senior care experience
- $22 to $24 per hour for caregivers with strong RCFE experience, transfer experience, medication assistance experience, CNA or HHA credentials, or flexible shift availability
Premium consideration may be given for awake overnight coverage, lead responsibilities, and advanced transfer experience.
