Job Title: Warehouse Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily flow of clinical supplies between the pharmacy and nursing departments. This role supports the pharmacy and nursing teams by collaborating with PSRs and clinicians to ensure timely and accurate delivery of supplies and medication to patients and customers. Additional responsibilities include inventory sourcing, purchasing, and maintenance, all in compliance with legal standards and Option Care policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish direct contact with patients to determine supply needs as directed by clinicians, and maintain strong client relationships. Document and communicate patient information to appropriate personnel.
- Generate patient orders in the system, coordinate and execute the shipping schedule, and confirm deliveries with the Nurse and Pharmacist.
- Purchase all inventory supplies following proper procedures, sourcing cost-effective products as per clinician and company guidelines, while minimizing freight costs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, address discrepancies, and participate in physical inventory counts. Implement inventory control measures and manage equipment tracking and maintenance.
- Uphold legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding patient and company information.
- Participate in assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents and equipment errors, accurately completing QAR forms for the General Manager.
- May be responsible for delivering drugs and supplies when necessary.
- Participate in on-call duties as required.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager.
Basic Education and Experience Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Basic Qualifications
- If responsible for deliveries, a current, valid driver’s license and liability insurance in the state of employment are required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal (phone and in-person) and written (emails, letters, reports).
- Basic PC skills, including starting and shutting down a computer, using a mouse, navigating programs, saving files, printing documents, and accessing online information.
- Basic email and internet skills.
