Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver detailed lesson plans covering cosmetology topics such as hair coloring, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, body waxing, facials, and dermabrasion
- Supervise and mentor students during practical applications in salon environments, ensuring safety and professionalism
- Provide hands-on instruction in advanced techniques like aesthetic laser treatments, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, and facial treatments
- Evaluate student progress through assessments and provide constructive feedback to foster growth
- Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages creativity, confidence, and continuous learning
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques into curriculum to ensure relevance and excellence
- Support students in preparing for licensing exams by reviewing key concepts such as anatomy knowledge and skin care fundamentals
Experience
- Proven experience working within the beauty industry across multiple disciplines including hairstyling, barbering, skincare, massage therapy, and nail care
- Extensive salon experience with hands-on expertise in hair coloring, styling, extensions, threading, and body waxing
- Demonstrated ability to teach or mentor students in an educational setting or classroom environment
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to cosmetology practices and aesthetic treatments
- Familiarity with adult education principles and lesson planning strategies for effective teaching
- Experience performing advanced procedures such as esthetic laser treatments or dermabrasion is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for inspiring students to reach their full potential
