Server Assistant Job Description
Leon’s Oyster Shop in downtown Charleston is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and motivated Server Assistant to join our team. Since opening in 2014, Leon’s has been recognized as one of the best restaurants in the country by The MIchelin Guide, The James Beard Foundation, Bon Appétit and Eater. We were also named one of the Best New Restaurants in the South by Southern Living.
While we’re known as an oyster bar, Leon’s offers much more — from fried chicken and fresh seafood to seasonal vegetables and salads. Our beverage program features everything from affordable beers to premium champagne and rosé on draft year-round. Position Overview
Server Assistants play an essential role in delivering an outstanding guest experience. This position supports the service team by maintaining dining areas, assisting servers, and ensuring guests receive attentive and efficient service.
Responsibilities
- Assist servers with delivering food to tables
- Maintain clean and organized dining areas, including clearing and resetting tables
- Refill water and assist with guest needs when appropriate
- Communicate effectively with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff
- Support overall restaurant flow during busy service periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations
