Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Grill Cook/Prep Cook to join our team! This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment committed to excellence.
Duties
- Prepare and cook smash burgers according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to ensure smooth service flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed diligently to uphold health regulations
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting innovative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, knives, and other culinary tools
- Serve food promptly and courteously to guests or team members during meal service periods
- Collaborate with team members to meet high standards of quality, presentation, and taste in every dish
Experience
- Previous experience as a grill cook, line cook, or prep cook, in a fast paced setting.
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant experience within a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety procedures and sanitation standards
- Experience with menu planning and meal preparation in fine dining or catering settings preferred
- Skilled in knife handling, food industry best practices, and culinary techniques
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently under pressure
- Bilingul is preferred but is not a requirement. ( English - Spanish )
- Current Connecticut Food Handler / Food Safety certification preferred. Must be willing to obtain it upon hire.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
