Senior Construction Superintendent
Senior Construction Superintendent - HOTEL
We are an established nonprofit affordable housing developer, looking for an experienced field leader to take ownership of its most demanding multi-family projects. This isn't a typical superintendent role - it's for someone ready to run point on the developments other superintendents aren't yet equipped to handle: bigger budgets, tighter timelines, and more moving parts.
You'll report to the VP of Construction and be the person on site every day making sure the job actually gets done right. That means real ownership over schedule, budget, safety, and quality, from the day ground breaks until the project closes out.
Running the job site
- Own daily field operations across large, complex multi-family builds
- Keep subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field crews moving in sync
- Work hand in hand with the Construction Manager and VP to shape and adjust scopes of work as the project evolves
- Watch budgets and expenditures closely enough to catch problems before they become expensive
- Send leadership clear, regular updates on progress and schedule status
Keeping the project on track and compliant
- Push milestones forward and hold the schedule accountable
- Manage the paperwork side too: inspections, utility coordination, permits, plan checks, certificates of occupancy
- Enforce OSHA standards site wide, no exceptions
- Stay on top of SWPPP compliance and think ahead about how the site affects its neighbors
Leading people
- Get the best out of subcontractors and field teams through clear direction and real accountability
- Build genuine relationships with city officials, inspectors, and outside partners, since those relationships smooth out a lot of friction down the line
- Represent the company well at meetings and team events, including occasional travel
What we're looking for
- Ten plus years running residential or multi-family construction projects
- A track record specifically with large, complicated developments, not just straightforward builds
- Real fluency with municipal processes and how regulatory inspections actually work in practice
- Comfortable in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project
- Communicates clearly, in writing and in person
- Carries themselves like a leader on site, someone the crew and the client both trust
- Construction related education or technical training is a plus, not a requirement
This is boots on the ground work: active job sites, all weather, plenty of standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting, with some driving and standard office work mixed in.

Annual salary: $130,000 - $165,000 (depending on experience)
