We're looking for a passionate and experienced Material Handler to join our team in Sodus, NY, and help us continue our mission to make the world a better place.
The main function for a material handler is to support PWW manufacturing activities working under the guidance of plant management. Work includes shipping finished goods, receiving raw materials, operation of various types of material handling equipment, ensuring a safe and clean work environment, and having the ability to accurately maintain records.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in stock, recording location of inventory in ERP system.
· Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
· Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
· Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
· Verifying bills of lading (BOLs), packing lists, and incoming deliveries, and flagging discrepancies.
· Understand and adhere to strict environmental, health, safety, security and quality policies and procedures.
· Effectively communicate with supervisors, managers, and other operations personnel.
· Maintain accurate records and close out production activities in production tracking system as they are complete.
· Performing scheduled and ad‑hoc cycle counts for raw materials and finished goods, including investigating and reporting variances to plant management.
· Able to record information clearly and accurately.
· Act as back up to production operators as needed.
· Good computer skills, MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, Etc.
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
