About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Lead Interior Designer & Studio Manager to join our growing luxury residential design team in Tampa, Florida.
This is a leadership opportunity for a seasoned designer who wants to do more than create beautiful spaces. The ideal candidate will lead high-end residential projects from concept through installation while building strong client relationships, mentoring junior designers, maintaining exceptional design standards, and helping shape the systems and operations of a growing studio.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead luxury residential interior design projects from initial concept through final installation.
- Develop creative design concepts, space plans, material selections, furniture specifications, and complete design presentations.
- Produce and oversee technical drawings, construction documentation, and project details.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, vendors, purchasing, and installation coordination.
- Oversee projects valued at $250,000+, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with luxury residential clients.
- Serve as a primary point of contact throughout the design and build process.
- Maintain the studio’s design standards, quality control, and attention to detail.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, tradespeople, and other project partners.
- Mentor and support junior designers, helping develop their technical and creative skills.
- Review project documentation and design work to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Identify opportunities to improve studio workflows, systems, and processes.
- Contribute to the continued growth and operational excellence of Sixth Sense Studio.
- Work toward future advancement into a Design Director leadership role
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- NCIDQ Certification required.
- 7+ years of luxury residential interior design experience preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of luxury residential design experience required.
- At least 2 years of experience managing projects valued at $250,000+ preferred.
- Strong technical drawing, space planning, and construction documentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and budgets.
- Exceptional client communication and relationship-management skills.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality design.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment.
- Must be able to commute to Tampa, FL.
