Job Summary
We are urgently seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to join our team in Chandler, AZ 85249. This vital role involves providing personalized care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with developmental or neurodevelopmental disabilities, and residents in assisted living or home health settings. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Monitor and observe patients’ conditions, vital signs, and overall well-being to ensure safety and comfort
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
- Support patient mobility using proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods to ensure safety during movement
- Administer medications following care plans and document medication administration accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being, especially for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory care needs
- Assist with transportation to medical appointments, community activities, or personal errands using appropriate safety procedures
- Follow established care plans meticulously while adapting to the unique needs of each resident or client
- Document patient observations, progress notes, and any incidents thoroughly for ongoing care coordination
Requirements
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic first aid/CPR certification is essential
- Experience working with individuals with autism, dementia (including Alzheimer’s care), intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly desirable
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and patient transfers safely and effectively
- Strong communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare teams effectively
- Valid certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional certifications related to hospice care or geriatrics are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and protocols
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed in a fast-paced caregiving environment
