Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care strategies
- Administer medication following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities accurately
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with feeding as needed
- Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling to prevent injury for clients and caregivers
- Engage clients in social activities, group programs, or recreational outings to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s, and memory care best practices
- Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional training in safe patient lifting preferred
- Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities is a plus
- Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for client transportation or errands
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks and manual handling safely throughout shifts
