Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Door Estimator to join our team.
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in calculating costs, estimating materials, and preparing bids for commercial door projects. This position requires strong knowledge of commercial door systems, including types of doors, hardware, and installation requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate door estimates.
- Collaborate with sales teams, contractors, and project managers to assess project requirements and scope.
- Estimate the costs of materials, labor, and other resources required for door installation or repair projects.
- Generate detailed, clear, and competitive quotes for clients in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure accurate information is gathered and shared.
- Track and manage multiple estimations simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of commercial door systems, industry standards, and emerging technologies.
- Participate in meetings with clients or internal teams to discuss project budgets and scope.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of commercial door products (e.g., hollow metal doors, wood doors, aluminum doors, automatic doors).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a remote team.
