Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate route driving.
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual lifting techniques, maintaining proper safety protocols at all times.
- Manage inventory by organizing stock within the warehouse, moving items efficiently, and ensuring accurate documentation of all loads.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by communicating clearly with clients, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to maintain safety standards and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as sorting, storing, and preparing goods for dispatch or pickup.
- Follow all safety procedures related to heavy lifting, moving goods, and operating equipment like forklifts and manual transmission vehicles.
Experience
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred, especially with route driving responsibilities.
- Demonstrated warehouse experience involving load & unload activities, inventory management, or forklift operation is advantageous.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards related to box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly while maintaining attention to safety.
- Knowledge of using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional communication style.
