Position Summary
The Marketing Coordinator plays a vital role in sharing the story and impact of InterFaith Health Center, a nonprofit providing medical, dental, mental health, and medication assistance services to the working uninsured and underserved in the Greater Knoxville area. This position supports the development and execution of strategic marketing and communications efforts that engage donors, patients, volunteers, and the broader community.
Working closely with the Director of Development and Public Relations, the Marketing Coordinator ensures consistent, mission-driven messaging that elevates awareness, strengthens community relationships, and supports fundraising and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, email, and social media platforms
- Create and manage content for social media, website updates, email communications, and newsletters
- Support donor communications, including appeals, impact stories, and stewardship materials
- Assist in promoting fundraising events, campaigns, and community initiatives
- Maintain and update the organization’s marketing calendar
- Ensure brand consistency and voice across all communications
- Capture and share patient, donor, and volunteer stories that highlight InterFaith’s impact
- Coordinate with vendors, designers, printers, and media partners
- Track and report on marketing performance and engagement metrics
- Support internal communications and assist with presentations and materials as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or nonprofit development
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate mission-driven impact
- Experience managing social media platforms and content calendars
- Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact)
- Working knowledge of design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
- Passion for serving underserved populations and advancing community health
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or mission-driven organizations
- Knowledge of fundraising communications and donor engagement strategies
- Basic photography and/or video editing skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing analytics tools
