Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company policies
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and ensure on-time arrivals
- Load and unload merchandise using proper lifting techniques, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and addressing concerns with a positive attitude
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to maintain automobile transportation safety standards and report any issues promptly
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales goals
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records to support organizational efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record and knowledge of route driving best practices
- Strong math skills for pricing calculations, measurements, and transaction processing
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers, team members, and management
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols and safe lifting practices
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques to ensure proper product presentation during deliveries
- Organizational skills for managing schedules, route planning, and documentation efficiently
- Familiarity with sales techniques and upselling strategies to promote products confidently
- Background in military service or related discipline is a plus, demonstrating discipline, reliability, and strong work ethic
