Position Overview
A veteran-owned private security company is seeking professional Unarmed Security Officers to provide security services for an aerospace facility in the Stennis, Mississippi area.
This position is ideal for dependable, professional individuals who take pride in maintaining a secure and controlled environment. Officers will be responsible for access control, CCTV monitoring, vehicle and foot patrols, incident reporting, and maintaining security protocols throughout the facility.
Because this position supports an aerospace operation involving ITAR-controlled activities, applicants must meet applicable U.S. Person requirements for the assignment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the facility
- Verify employees, visitors, contractors, and authorized personnel
- Monitor CCTV security camera systems
- Conduct routine vehicle patrols throughout the compound
- Conduct foot patrols and security checks of buildings, gates, parking areas, and perimeter locations
- Operate a company-provided patrol vehicle
- Identify and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, security violations, or unauthorized access
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident reports
- Follow established post orders, access-control procedures, and client security protocols
- Respond professionally to alarms, incidents, and unusual activity
- Maintain communication with supervisors and other security personnel
- Assist employees and visitors while maintaining a professional security presence
- Protect sensitive areas and information in accordance with facility security requirements
- Maintain confidentiality regarding client operations and activities
Minimum Requirements
- Must meet applicable U.S. Person requirements due to ITAR-controlled operations
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving record
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to safely operate a company patrol vehicle
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to pass any client-required screening or credentialing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write clear and accurate security and incident reports
- Comfortable using computers, smartphones, CCTV systems, and basic security technology
- Ability to remain alert and professional during overnight and extended shifts
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous security experience
- Military or law-enforcement experience
- Aerospace, government, defense, industrial, or critical-infrastructure security experience
- Previous access-control or CCTV monitoring experience
- Experience conducting vehicle or facility patrols
- Familiarity with ITAR or working within controlled-access environments
