Distant Lands Coffee is a vertically integrated specialty coffee company based in Renton, WA. We manage every step of the coffee process - from farming to roasting to packaging - to deliver high‑quality coffee to major retail and foodservice brands.
Position Summary
Our Material Handlers keep production running smoothly by moving, tracking, and organizing raw materials and finished goods. This role is hands‑on, fast‑paced, and important to daily operations. You’ll load and unload materials, inspect products, complete basic computer entries, and help keep the warehouse safe and organized.
Shift
Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm
What You'll Do
- Receive, inspect, store, and deliver materials and supplies.
- Handle high‑value and fragile materials safely.
- Count and check materials to keep inventory accurate.
- Look for damage or shortages and report issues.
- Complete simple paperwork and enter information into our computer system.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment.
- Perform basic equipment and vehicle inspections.
- Drive a 24‑foot box truck as needed.
- Pull material orders, label pallets, and prepare items for production or shipping.
- Help resolve inventory issues and support production when needed.
- Follow all safety and food‑safety rules.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in manufacturing or food production is a plus.
- Valid Washington State driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable using basic computer systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to work safely around equipment and in changing temperatures.
- Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
Physical Requirements
- Lift 50 lbs regularly.
- Stand for long periods.
