Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in assembling dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, stoves, and food processors
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and temperature control of all ingredients
- Support menu planning by preparing components for daily specials or catering orders
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
- Adhere strictly to recipe guidelines and portion control to maintain consistency across all dishes
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or dietary departments is highly preferred
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods
- Knowledge of safety standards in food production and food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen staff
- Experience with meal prep, catering services, or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Demonstrated understanding of food industry best practices including recipe adherence and food safety management
