Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Site Superintendent for 6 months contract to lead construction project from inception to completion. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily site operations, coordinate with project teams, ensure safety compliance, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Your expertise in construction management, scheduling, and team supervision will drive project success while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties:
- Lead full day-to-day site execution on assigned Coldbox design-build projects, owning safety, sequencing, trade coordination, logistics, inspections, quality, and closeout activities.
- Serve as the primary on-site authority for subcontractors, inspectors, consultants, and client representatives.
- Own site-wide safety outcomes, including leading safety meetings and inspections, enforcingrules, responding to incidents, and driving corrective actions.
- Develop, maintain, and execute site-wide daily work plans and rolling 3-week+ look-ahead schedules, coordinating complex sequencing and overlapping trades.
- Anticipate and proactively manage site constraints related to manpower, materials, access, inspections, weather, and design information.
- Direct and hold subcontractors accountable for safety, quality, productivity, sequencing, and professional conduct.
- Own site-wide quality control, ensuring work is installed in accordance with IFC drawings, specifications, and Coldbox standards.
- Prepare and lead the site through consultant, authority, and client inspections, ensuring readiness and rapid close-out of deficiencies.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready site documentation in Procore and SiteDocs, including daily logs, safety records, inspections, deficiencies, and closeout records.
- Lead field identification and coordination of RFIs, site instructions, and constructability issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Coordinate material deliveries, hoisting, laydown, access control, and temporary services in alignment with safety and schedule requirements.
- Communicate daily site progress, risks, constraints, and accomplishments clearly to the Project Management team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready site at all times.
- Lead site closeout activities, including deficiency resolution, permits, inspections, and turnover documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring site issues, inefficiencies, or coordination breakdowns and sharing lessons learned.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or related field; equivalent trade background and progressive site leadership experience considered.
- 8–12+ years of progressive construction experience, including independent leadership of full job sites on commercial, industrial, or design-build projects.
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-trade site execution, including short-interval scheduling, inspections, and closeout.
- Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and site requirements, and proactively identify constructability and coordination risks.
- Solid understanding of standard construction methods, sequencing, building codes, and inspection processes.
- Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and quality, with a track record of enforcing standards on site; valid safety certifications required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills with subcontractors, inspectors, consultants, and internal teams.
- High proficiency with Procore, SiteDocs, and digital field reporting tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work full-time on site, including extended hours as project conditions require.
