Position Overview:
As the HR lead for the Texas office, you will be fully responsible for local recruitment, onboarding, compensation & benefits, employee relations, and compliance operations. We are looking for someone who is well-versed in Texas and federal labor laws, capable of establishing localized HR procedures, and serving as a bridge between business units and the corporate headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute recruitment plans for the Texas office, including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, and background checks to ensure timely hiring.
- Manage the full-cycle onboarding process (including I-9 verification, E-Verify enrollment, employee handbook acknowledgment, and new hire orientation).
- Administer payroll, attendance, and leave calculations for Texas employees; coordinate with third-party payroll providers (e.g., ADP).
- Handle employee relations matters, including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and exit interviews to mitigate labor risks.
- Ensure HR policies comply with Texas labor laws and federal EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) regulations.
- Maintain employee records and HR system data; prepare periodic headcount reports and HR analytics for headquarters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above in HR Management, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.
- 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a full-scope HR management role based in Texas.
- In-depth knowledge of Texas and U.S. federal labor regulations, with hands-on experience in I-9, E-Verify, and FMLA compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing employee relations in a multicultural environment.
- Fluent in Chinese is a Plus.
- Hold valid U.S. work authorization without employer sponsorship.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
