Cutlerville Eyecare is an established professional private optometry practice in Grand Rapids that is looking for a skilled optician to join our team. We are open to part time or full time availability. At Cutlerville Eyecare, we are looking for a person that has great people skills and who takes pride in their work. We run a friendly office with no weekend hours and holidays off. The successful candidate should be detail oriented and be able to multi-task.
Primary duties will include optical sales, contact lens sales, frame selections, dispensing, adjustments, patient special testing, patient education, as well as various tasks that are needed to keep a busy office running smoothly. Responsibilities
- Assist patients in selecting eyewear that best fit their needs and preferences.
- Provide detailed information about lens options, coatings, and eyewear maintenance.
- Perform fittings and adjustments to ensure optimal comfort and functionality of eyewear.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with optometrists to ensure seamless patient care and service delivery.
- Stay updated on the latest optical products and industry trends.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an optician or in a similar role is preferred, but on job training will be done for the right candidate as well.
- Strong knowledge of optical products, lens types, and fitting techniques.
- Excellent sales skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
