Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Cook a variety of menu items with precision, speed, and consistency to meet customer expectations
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
- Maintain food safety standards by handling food properly and adhering to sanitation protocols
- Support kitchen operations by organizing supplies, managing food storage, and cleaning work stations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and smooth kitchen workflow
- Participate in catering events and special functions as needed, ensuring quality presentation and service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Proven kitchen experience in restaurants or food industry settings demonstrating strong knife skills and food handling expertise
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly processes
- Familiarity with menu planning, food safety regulations, and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Experience with catering or serving is a plus but not required
