Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oilfield Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee construction & maintenance projects within the oil and gas industry. This role involves managing on-site operations, supervising roustabout crews, operating heavy equipment, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, and coordinating project schedules. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in oilfield, roustabout and pipeline construction, exceptional management skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. As a key leader, you will drive safety, efficiency, and excellence across all phases of construction projects.
Duties
- Lead and supervise roustabout crews on oilfield projects, including pipelines, heavy civil infrastructure, and related facilities
- Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution
- Manage procurement, contracts, and budgets while maintaining strict compliance with federal construction safety regulations such as OSHA standards
- Oversee quality control processes, conduct site inspections, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and construction regulations
- Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed construction schedules and monitor progress regularly
- Supervise crew management activities including training, performance evaluations, and ensuring crew safety on-site
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics for proper installation of compressors, production facilities, pipelines and other infrastructure
- Build new and maintain exist relationships with clients.
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction site management with a focus on oilfield or pipeline projects
- Ability to operate Backhoes, Excavators, Dozers, etc.
- Strong understanding of federal safety regulations such as OSHA and construction safety management principles
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawing review
- Proven ability to manage teams effectively in fast-paced construction environments
- Excellent communication skills for managerial coordination and crew supervision
- Knowledge of construction estimating, budgeting, project scheduling, and quality control processes
- Ability to interpret technical schematics related to pipelines and electrical systems within oilfield infrastructure
- Demonstrated leadership in supervising crews while maintaining high safety standards and productivity levels
