Job Summary
Gile Carpentry LLC is looking for a dependable and motivated Carpenter/Laborer to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with general construction experience who’s ready to expand their skills and grow within a reputable, family-run company.
You’ll work alongside experienced carpenters and leads on a variety of projects — from custom remodels and additions to decks, kitchens, bathrooms, tile work, and full home builds. Attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn are key.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all phases of residential construction, including framing, finish carpentry, siding, flooring, tiling, and cabinetry installation.
- Help maintain an organized and safe jobsite — setting up, cleaning, and ensuring materials are properly stored.
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment daily.
- Work closely with the lead carpenter to support day-to-day tasks and ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and correctly.
- Perform basic measurements, cuts, and layout with accuracy.
- Follow direction, ask questions, and maintain a strong work ethic on-site.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of residential carpentry or construction experience preferred (but we’re willing to train the right candidate).
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work safely in varied weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and teamwork mindset.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Punctual, dependable, and eager to learn.
