Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and a strong understanding of food safety standards. Duties
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications, including chopping, slicing, and marinating.
- Assist in menu planning and ensure all food items are prepared efficiently for service.
- Support cooking processes by assembling dishes and managing food portions.
- Handle food with proper safety and hygiene practices, adhering to all food handling regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies.
- Assist with catering events or special meal preparations as needed.
- Ensure all food preparation meets quality standards and presentation expectations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, culinary assistant, or restaurant prep cook is preferred.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
