Currently seeking to hire a Mobile Chassis Repair Mechanic. Applicants should possess strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Job Overview:
The essential role of a mobile chassis repair mechanic to maintain, and repair trailers used for national and international shipping distribution. A chassis repair mechanic performs preventative and corrective maintenance when equipment is out of service at the customer's location.
Job Responsibilities and accountability:
· Troubleshoot and repair all chassis/trailer defects.
· Including ABS systems; air brake system, wheels end, and structural assemblies
· Some welding and fabrication of chassis and shipping containers.
· Use of mobile app to log work orders and document repairs.
Job Requirements:
· Mechanical background.
· Valid Driver’s License.
· Ability to work outside in all types of weather
· Capable of working at heights of 15 feet
· Must be willing to be on call weekdays, Weekends and Holidays
· Capable of lifting 50lbs with or without assistance
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Must have basic computer skills and comfortable working on a computer.
