Qualifications & Credentials:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Work (SSW) endorsement required
- Experience supporting children or students in educational or similar settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
- Ability to develop rapport with children, families, and staff
- Flexibility and professionalism in managing a caseload with variable student numbers
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide social-emotional support and counseling for elementary students on your caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and administration to address student needs
- Conduct assessments and create effective intervention plans for students facing social, behavioral, or emotional challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality standards
- Communicate proactively with families and caregivers, supporting student success both in and out of the classroom
