A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Med Surg/Telemetry Float Pool team. This role provides high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple acute care facilities while supporting positive clinical outcomes and maintaining professional nursing standards.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process and established clinical standards
Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients in an acute care setting
Monitor patient conditions and promptly identify and respond to changes in status
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and organizational policies
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care
Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other healthcare team members
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
Adapt to various clinical environments and support staffing needs across multiple facilities
Demonstrate professional accountability and participate in ongoing learning and development initiatives
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Minimum of two years of recent Registered Nurse experience in an acute Med Surg/Telemetry setting
Previous experience with electronic medical record systems preferred
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing patient care environments
Reliable transportation and flexibility to float between assigned facilities as needed
