Responsibilities
- Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently, ensuring all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen tools are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to food safety procedures.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in maintaining an organized workspace.
- Clear and bus tables promptly to uphold cleanliness standards and provide a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Follow proper sanitation protocols to maintain kitchen health and safety standards, including handling cleaning chemicals safely.
- Support heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies, bulk ingredients, or equipment to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area by sweeping, mopping, and trash removal to uphold sanitation standards.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely while adhering to food safety management practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or cleaning tools is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff members.
